Hanne Andersen is Chief Nurse Officer (CNO) at Lillebelt Hospital in Denmark. She has extensive experience in clinical nursing, leadership, and political and strategic planning in relation to hospital management. Hanne became a nurse in 1990 and has a masters degree in public governance. Lillebelt Hospital is working with the Patient First’- approach and ’promises’ to the patient. The ’Patient First’-approach and the ‘promises’ constitute the core values of the hospital. In her time as CNO, Hanne has led the implementation of the concept ’Excellent Nursing’, which is the guiding principle for all nursing activity in Lillebelt Hopital. The concept of Excellent Nursing is dynamic and provides a clinical guideline for patientcare and a patientoriented mindset for all the nurses at Lillebelt Hospital.
